Miss Piggy On Beauty

MISS PIGGY has had a very stylish few months - with an OPI nail varnish line, appearances on The X Factor and The Jonathan Ross Show and a role as Vogue Paris' fashion editor in the upcoming The Muppets film under her belt. As her beauty collection - in collaboration with MAC - goes on sale today, we talk to the fashionable piggy about her beauty icons, her must-have products and her plans for the future. What are your top beauty tips? Start out perfect and don't change a thing. Always accentuate your best features by pointing at them. And conceal your flaws by sucker punching anyone who has the audacity to mention them. Which beauty products can't you live without? Well, of course, my complete collection from MAC. After all, if moi's name is on it, it has to be absolutely fantastique! I'm also especially fond of lavender Sharpie pens which are great for autograph signing… and emergency eyebrow touch-ups. But for anything more than a quick fix, I have a pit crew of make-up artists on 24-hour call. SEE MISS PIGGY'S MAC COLLECTION Who are your beauty icons, and why? - Audrey Hepburn, of course. That simple black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Of course, for moi, breakfast is not enough; I do all my meals at Tiffany's. - Elton John - Sir Elton set the standard for glamour, fabulosity and over-accessorising. He and moi have sung together, we've supped together, and someday, I hope we will shop together. - Carolina Herrera - She defines fashion! She has such a sense of panache and joie de vivre. Moi adores everything she does… and if she's reading this, I could use a couple of new outfits. SEE MISS PIGGY WITH MARC JACOBS Why did you decide to team up with MAC? MAC and moi have a similar philosophy about beauty. We believe that all beauty comes from within - that if you love yourself, then you will look lovely. But, just in case, it doesn't hurt to have some fabulous make-up to highlight your loveliness. Thus, MAC and moi equals beauty enhanced! What's next for Miss Piggy? Moi has several high-profile productions in development: television, motion pictures, music, books, internet videos, personal appearances, shopping trips… It would be premature for moi to reveal any details about these incredibly spectacular events (especially since my agent Bernie hasn't returned my calls, so I have no idea what's going on). The Miss Piggy collection will be available from 2pm today at www.maccosmetics.co.uk/misspiggy.
