Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson are going their separate ways.

The Gucci muse and actor has filed for divorce after close to four years of marriage, according to multiple reports. She has reportedly also asked for joint custody of their three-year-old daughter.

The news may come as a surprise to some, as the couple recently made joint appearances during New York Fashion Week in early September, including at the J.Crew 40th anniversary party. They were also captured by paparazzi celebrating Turner-Smith's birthday on September 9.

The two first met at Usher’s birthday party in 2018. In a 2021 interview with Mr. Porter, Jackson says he noticed Turner-Smith wearing the same edgy t-shirt as Tessa Thompson’s character, Detroit, in the film Sorry To Bother You. “I shouted, ‘Detroit!’ across the room. Not the smoothest thing I’ve ever done, but it worked. We were pretty much inseparable from the word go. It was a whirlwind romance,” he said.

The couple wed in December 2019 with an intimate ceremony. In 2020, they welcomed a daughter, Janie. “I’m not worried at all she’ll be a wallflower. She’s been a character from the word go,” Jackson said of his daughter in the same conversation. Turner-Smith also spoke of how raising a daughter changed their worldview: “One of the best parts about parenting is that you get to learn everything again because you see the world anew through innocent, fresh eyes. It’s humbling and beautiful and exciting—and it’s really emotional,” she told Jeremy O. Harris in a conversation with AnOther magazine.

The two have not yet publicly commented on their separation.
