Firemen posing for calendar to raise money for hospital burn unit

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Some Baton Rouge firefighters are making heat waves as they flex their muscles for the camera.

A group from the "Local 557" teamed up with the Baton Rouge General Burn Unit and shot a calendar featuring twelve of their hottest, men chosen by burn unit workers.

The calendar will be sold to raise money for both the pediatric and adult burn units and some of the proceeds will also be used to buy toys and games for the children.

"There's about 38 I think that actually applied for it and 12 of us were chosen," says Jerome Richardson. "We projected that if we sold all of the ones that we print, we should raise between around 85,000," says Beth Barback with the Baton Rouge General Burn Unit.

Barback says the calendars should go on sale in October, so be sure to keep an eye out for them.
