"The Coolest Guy On The Planet" experiment.... lol

After just playing around with some searches and stuff, this forum is causing a lot of stuff to rank high fast on Google. I'd love to see the behind the scenes stats for this forum. If each person, and many keyword phrases continue to rank high, this forum could explode with visitors and new members in no time.

You know what that means right?

More trolls.

We are going to need to zap them at every turn. With everyone as mods, this can get interesting.

All in all, IMO, the blog feature, these posts/threads and even the article section are all very valuable for SE juice and such. If you search on Google, "The Coolest Guy On The Planet" you'll see there was a competition experiment to see who can get that spot. I believe Brad Fallon has it now.

So, that's why I typed that in the subject title.... not that I'm the coolest guy on the planet, cause, that's not even a debate, we all know I am.

Anyway - search engine juice

    The top 4 URLs in the results have the exact phase "Coolest Guy On The Planet", it tells us how important the keyword in the URL is for SEO.

      Guys, I'm surely not an SEO pro by any stretch of the imagination. I purely skipped out on that part of "Internet Marketing School". But, what I did do, was buy some keywords as the domains, and a couple ended up ranking high on Yahoo. I did nothing else, but bought the keyword phrase as the domain name (and with dashes too) a while back.

      One site gets me subscribers every single day, and I've done nothing to it since 2006. since then though, I let the cat out of the bag on a couple coaching videos and actually showed the site/domain and ranking. It did not take long for "others" to appear competing right along side me.

      I noticed I drop sometimes, then go back to the top at other times. Aweber emails me when someone signs up to that list, so if I see a big spike in optins, I know it went to the top again.

      Google showed those sites no love though.

      Anyway, this thread is showing already, in less than 24 hours... but not at the top.

      PS - Kevin, you can take "coolest guy in the universe". There's too many black holes out there and space junk. "Coolest guy in the planet" on Google is mine though, eventually. lol

      The term is:

      coolest guy on the planet

      not the coolest guy on the planet.

      Having been on page one for a couple of years I can tell you on-page optimization is still very important. Change the balance and it adjusts rank very fast.
