Arrest made in deadly triple-shooting in south Charlotte
One person died of their injuries days after the shooting.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - An arrest has been made in a deadly triple shooting at a south Charlotte apartment complex on Friday.
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, German Pacheco was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury in connection with the Lakemist Drive shooting.
Three people were injured; a 21-, 19, and 15-year-old. Yara Velasquez-Escobar, 21, died from her injuries on Monday.

According to the police report, a baby was in the apartment at the time of the shooting but was not hurt.
It is still unclear what led up to the shooting. More information will be released as it becomes available.
