Luna comes from the line of Fugates, commonly known as the Blue Fugates or the Blue People of Kentucky. They are notable for carrying a genetic trait that leads to the disease methemoglobinemia, which tints the skin blue.
Luna was born on 1 January 1887 in Perry County, Kentucky, United States.
Her parents were Levi Fugate and Mahala Ritchie.
She married John Stacy on September 05, 1905 in Perry County, Kentucky.
Together they had at least 15 children:
She died on December 30, 1964 in Perry, Kentucky, United States.
She was laid to rest in the Stacy Cemetery, Knott County, Kentucky.[1]
