How to make a pie floater? A cook’s hack! I recently made a version of Greg’s creamy caper sauce from Greg’s Kitchen. Today I made another of Greg’s creations, viz., a pie floater.
Fair enough I didn’t make the mashed potato with mine. I couldn’t be bothered cooking spuds and mashing them.
I also didn’t cook my pie in the microwave oven. I much prefer conventional oven cooked pies.

Now I just need to buy a fair dinkum pie floater for comparison.
Oh Gary you’re so funny! And that shopping trolley pic looked like it was submerged in gravy 😀
The water quality of Lake Ginninderra is always questionable IMHO. I’d hate to add it to a nice steak lol
Looks good Gary…I would have to have a vegetarian pie though. Thanks for the photo from Rocksalt – will have to try out that restaurant as the meal looks great especially the poached eggs.
A vegetarian pie would work well. Rocksalt is a gem in Hawker. It’s well worth a visit.
