Web Anti-virus detection and virus removal

Hello,

I accidently clicked “I understand the risk and wish to continue” button on the blocked websites and as a result it might have downloaded malware/adware that I’m currently unaware of.

The websites are:  https_//cosmeticsrc,com/metric/?mid=&wid=52562&sid=&tid=8561&rid=LOADED&custom1=localhost:58716&custom2=/umbraco/&custom3=cosmeticsrc,com&t=1578502813185

And https_//cosmeticsrc,com/favicon,ico

The download from those websites were allowed, and after I ran a full scan, no detections were found.

How else could I check if my system was affected by the unknown download?

Do you think a full scan is enough to ensure that there weren’t any malware/adware downloaded?

Hi @ryanbylee ,

Can you clarify the scenario a bit more: which site did give you the “I understand the risk and wish to continue” button?

I checked both links you have provided, they are blocked by Web AV.

Which Kaspersky product name and version do you have? (Hover the mouse pointer over the Kaspersky icon in Windows tray to find out)

Hi @Igor Kurzin, thanks for the reply.

Actually its both of them that I clicked “I understand the risk” button, because I was confused with an other trusted website.

Hello @Igor Kurzin

Image 1(1) shows where @ryanbylee selected “I understand the risk and wish to continue”, image 2 & 3 are informational only

Hello @ryanbylee

Is the existing problem, since selecting “I understand the risk and wish to continue” & if you were to go to cosmeticsrc site now, it automatically opens, KIS does not alert you?

Please let us know?

Thank you🙏

Hi, @Flood and Flood's wife,

Yes, now if I click the link again, Kaspersky blocks the website again. However, I'm mainly concerned about the effect of possible malware from the website when I allowed the download the first time.

I was wondering if there is any way to check it my computer is infected or not, other than a full scan from Kaspersky.

Thanks.

Hi @Berny,

Thanks for the reply. Just to make sure, did kaspersky block the object even after I clicked “I understand the risk and wish to continue” button?

The web AV report says the download from the website was allowed after I clicked the “I understand the risk and wish to continue” button, and that’s where my concern mainly comes from (Whether my system was infected).

Thanks for the help and have a great day!

@ryanbylee You are welcome. On top of the Website Antivirus or the Mail Antivirus, the next step is the Kaspersky File Antivirus who will block the malicious object. If the (potential) malicious object is not available in the antivirus databases of the application, the Heuristic Analyzer will detect a suspicious behavior and catch the object. Also, the Kaspersky detection rate is close to 100% and when a full  scan doesn’t detect a virus  your system is clean.
