📍 From Fraser Island, Australia
Lake McKenzie is a stunningly clear lake located on Fraser Island in the Great Sandy Strait, Australia. It is the largest freshwater lake on Fraser Island, and also the most popular tourist destination.

The lake is named after an aboriginal chief who lived on Fraser Island in the 1850s. The lake is a perched lake consisting entirely of fresh and clean rainwater. It is surrounded by a white sandy beach and stands out due to its deep blue color. The lake is ideal for swimming, paddling and floating around in the crystal clear blue water. The surrounding beach is great for a relaxing walk or sunbathing. You can also take some hiking trails that lead from the beach through dense rainforest up to McKenzie's lookout for amazing views of the adjacent lakes and the surrounding ocean.
