West is best: WA’s All-Australian selection presence doubled

NEW PANEL

Western Australia’s presence on the All-Australian committee has doubled, with Fremantle legend Matthew Pavlich joining the selection panel ahead of the 2023 season.

Pavlich, who was a six-time All-Australian in his incredible 353-game career, joins the AFL’s competition management general manager Laura Kane in replacing Nick Riewoldt and Brad Scott.

Riewoldt has moved to America, while Scott left the AFL late last year to become Essendon’s head coach, ruling them both out of sitting on the panel.

Pavlich joins two-time West Coast Eagles premiership star and two-time All-Australian Glen Jakovich as part of the 11-member selection panel.
