Can I wear a full-face respirator with glasses?

Wearing glasses under a full face respirator is uncomfortable at best, and can lead to improper fitting around the face and can lead to leaks and contamination. At Parcil Safety we offer a spectacle kit for use with any of our full-face respirators.

Can you get a seal with a beard?

The CDC and Parcil Safety recommends to be clean shaven including sideburns and any facial hair.

What respirator works best for pesticides?

organic vapor (OV) or black and pink OV-particulate canister. Use a non-powered respirator with an N, R, or P ﬁlter. We recommend the PD-100 for home usage and the PD-101 for professional use.

What is the lifespan of a filter.

The lifespan of respirator filters is not fixed and depends on two factors: particulate filtration and activated charcoal absorption. If you are unsure if your filter needs changed you can test by comparing the air flow between new and used filters.

What respirators work best for polishing aluminum or working with metals?

You would typically need respirator filters that are designed to capture both particulate matter and potentially harmful metal fumes or vapors. Parcil Safety recommends the PD-101 full-face respirator with MaxPro P-3-O filters

Despite the headline, this is a wonderful respirator and I would recommend it any day. I purchased it so that I can use it in my workshop while woodworking, I found it to be really comfortable and could work for hours without taking it off.

The reason for my comment in the headline and not somewhere in the middle of this review, is that there are some questions about airsoft among the reviews, and some of them state "this mask is super solid" and even "Sure!!!!", which should be illegal to say when you have no idea whether or not it can leave some poor fella with no eyes at the end of the day.

TLDR: .2g 6mm BB with 100-120m/s velocity cracked the glass from as far as 30 meters, which I'd say is VERY not safe to use in airsoft.

I wasn't expecting this respirator to be suitable for airsoft but wanted to try it out, so my plan was to test the mask first and shoot at it while approaching it between shots. I thought that a burst or full-auto from 1-2ft away *could* be dangerous, but still started at around 40 meters away. I was surprised to find out that on my fourth shot it cracked the glass by the rubber seal leaving one inch long crack in the glass. Surely I can assume I got incredibly unlucky, but should you decide to test yours — make sure to NOT to shoot in the middle of the glass so you can at least epoxy the crack and use it as intended, should it crack the glass.

Wish I had one sooner

The mask fits well, nice and snug, once I figured out how to tighten it properly (pull tabs straight back not up). Breathing was a bit labored but I got used to it. Vision was unimpaired; there is a bit of distortion from the plastic mask looking at a distance, but perfectly fine close up. It did not fog up at all, but it does muffle the voice. It's not as heavy as it looks, in fact I wore it longer than needed because I kind of forgot about it after wearing all day. I wish I'd had it for some projects I worked on earlier this year.
I bought this on sale during Prime days so very happy with the price.

Works with 3M filter

This full face mask works great, very comfortable.
I was concerned that I would not be able to fit my existing 3M filters on it. However, it fits fine. I’m not sure that all 3M filters fit, but the filters I have work and fit perfectly. I use this primarily for mold, remediation, and other hazardous air environment issues.

Slightly overpriced but still a pretty decent product

I had bought this mask for when I am using a belt sander for wood and steel along with various other projects where I want a respirator and some form of eye protection. The overall quality is pretty decent. The face shield has held up very well with very minimal scratches from sparks and steel dust coming at it a very high speed. The respirator itself has also done very well despite the cartridges getting clogged up several times but with a quick clean they were as good as new I have had no issues with fogging inside the mask itself. The mask seals very well around the nose and mouth along with the seal along the outside edge and it is usually very easy to take on and off. My main complaint comes from the buckles that connect the strap to the mask itself and are used to tighten the mask down. They feel very cheap and flimsy and often slip out of place when you take the mask on or off. On more than one occasion the rubber straps have popped loose for no apparent reason and seem to only stay in place if the mask is really tightened down onto your head which can be very uncomfortable. I got the clear lense version and the glare from the sun or bright lights can be almost blinding and very annoying. Overall I think the mask itself is more than capable for almost anything. I just wish the buckles holding the straps on were made out of a better quality material because I feel I will have to replace or fix those very soon. If I didn't have those issues because of the build quality, it would definitely be a 5/5 stars from me.

Good quality mask, I bought 2 and of the 4 filters only one had s defect that I thought would compromise functionality, but it was purely cosmetic upon testing. Mask seals function perfectly even with facial hair, with very minimal fogging to the point where it is easily ignored.
Slight discomfort but only due to me not being used to full face respirators, after a brief adjustment period it should be fine.

I was worried because it wasn't as expensive as other brands and I got it around 50% off.
Seems sturdy. Worked well spraying muriatic acid.
Blocks smells of most chemicals except for febreeze for some reason. I guess this means that a quality mask might not block certain smells but you are still protected if it fits properly.
