Fireworks. Jet planes. Helicopters. Brisbane Festival wraps up this weekend with Riverfire, its traditional pyrotechnic party on the water. On Saturday September 25 at 6.45pm, the large-scale fireworks will be able to be seen from multiple vantage points across the city. Here are some restaurants, bars and brewpubs on the river where you can check out the action.

The Terrace at Emporium Hotel
21 levels high is a pretty great vantage point to take in the fireworks. A ticket to this event will get you a four-hour drinks package with Mumm and cocktails as well as seafood canapes of Moreton Bay bugs, Bribie Island oysters and Mooloolaba prawns. Book your spot and find out more here.

Felons Brewing Co.
You’ll want to get in early to nab a table on the riverfront at Felons as the walk-in spots will go quickly. As for bookings, at the time of writing, there are still a few seats available in the restaurant and in Barrel Hall. The same goes for other venues across Howard Smith Wharves, including Mr Percival’s, Yoko and Fiume. Head to the Howard Smith Wharves page to find out more.

W Brisbane
Head to W Brisbane to watch the fireworks from either Wet Deck or Three Blue Ducks. The signature bolder-is-better style of the former will see party goers enjoy three hours of drinks, a chef station serving canapes, and live sax and reggae tunes. The latter has taken its laidback but considered approach to celebrations with live acoustic music, flowing drinks and a four-course feast. Check out the events pages here for Wet Deck and here for Three Blue Ducks.

Naga Thai
It’ll be the first Riverfire Naga Thai will celebrate since opening last year and the Eagle Street Pier venue will take full advantage of the festivities. A seven-course banquet of the restaurant’s signature regional Thai flavours will be served on the night with a two-and-a-half-hour drinks package and prime views of the action. Get in quick to secure your spot here. Neighbouring Coppa Spuntino is also doing a set menu for the night, $135 nabbing you three courses and a glass of prosecco on arrival.

Otto
The team at Otto will be serving a three-course menu this Riverfire – their first occupying the former Stokehouse Q space on the water. Guests will be able to select from a range of Italian dishes including carpaccio di manzo, crudo di pesce and lobster spaghettini alongside the full Otto drinks list. There's still a front-row table for 12 available, if you have a group of mates you want to drag along, but book soon to avoid disappointment.

Blackbird and Iris
Post-fireworks, Ghanem Group’s CBD riverside bar Blackbird and its new Valley rooftop restaurant Iris will be hosting parties late into the night. Enter either venue for no cover charge for live DJs and cocktails. For more information, head to the Blackbird or Iris Rooftop websites.
