Only open to the public each year for half a day on May 3rd, admission to the 30-acre Garden of Cosmic Speculation is as memorable as it is exclusive. Conceived and built by architectural theorist Charles Jencks and his late wife Maggie Keswick, the eye-popping landscape design is founded in Chinese garden philosophy, inspired by the principles of modern physics, and resembles something out of a science fiction fantasy.
