Here at All A Bit Cuckoo we specialise in creating beautiful handmade clocks, artworks and home furnishings all displaying a unique patina finish. Each piece is totally unique with the texture and pattern of the patina created being the result of the chemicals reacting with the metal and in some cases mother nature herself. The artwork you are viewing is made from various depths and widths of pure copper bars all cut by hand and mounted in parallel to create the three dimensional artwork.

Each individual section has been hand cut from a copper bar, fine sanded, cleaned with degreaser, washed and then dried. Various chemicals are then applied using different techniques under a hot application to create the natural weathered verdigris patina. The varied methods of application create an individual look to each section creating an artwork in itself as no one section is the same. The patina copper sections are then cleaned and the satin clear coat varnish is applied three times to created a satin finish which protects the colour and the beautiful patina for many years. The artwork also includes a hammered finished copper and fine brished copper which again have a clear coat varnish applied to protect the copper from tarnishing. The sections are then carefully mounted in parallel and showcased in a hand made white frame.

All A Bit Cuckoo where possible use recycled material for our packaging and we have tried our best to place as much attention into the packaging as we have given to the work itself. When your copper artwork arrives it will comes in an environmentally friendly corrugated box with natural wood straw for protection. The copper artwork will be wrapped in recycled tissue paper for additional protection.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR COPPER ARTWORK
Your copper artwork will look amazing on any wall of your house but be careful to keep it away from water or moisture as the copper could be affected. If you need to clean your artwork all you need to use is a clean duster, do not use chemical products or water as it could affect the surface. If you follow our guidance your artwork will last for many years, however, as copper is a naturally changing metal, you may find that is changes and ages over the years this is perfectly normal and will only add to its authenticity.
