At last! My lovely wedding photographer Sarah Smith has sent over the professional wedding photos, so I can finally show you what my hair and makeup looked like.

Me and three of my bridesmaids got our hair done by Brian Pfremmer of Le Shag salon in Kingston, New York (two of the girls chose to DIY theirs). Let me tell you: It ain't easy finding a great hairstylist when you're getting married up in the mountains, but Brian was amazing--each of our updos ended up so different, pretty and festive (no bad bridesmaid hair here!).

On Allison, Brian used a curling iron to create swirls that he pinned to the sides of her head, almost like very loose/flat pincurls. They looked a little too precise at first, but the curl quickly relaxed to create a lovely, soft, face-framing effect.

On Maureen, Brian created an awesome Mad Men-esque mini beehive. Too cute for words, especially on Mo, who isn't usually daring when it comes to hairstyles. It went with the poufy skirt of the bridesmaid dress, too.

My maid-of-honor Kim, as some of you may recall, decided to do something involving Nicole Richie-inspired braids. Brian ended up braiding one side then twisting her hair into a messy chignon.

As for my own wedding hair, I could not have been happier with how it turned out. I went with a low, romantic chignon (as the majority of you suggested), and Brian gave my hair amazing wavy texture using the Naluwaver. This made it feel a little bit retro to match my vintagey dress and made the chignon extra big and intricate; I love how the crown stayed wavy, too, even when pinned back.

I got my makeup done by Jeanie Ciaccio at the Emerson Spa & Resort, where the wedding was. I loved the eyes, especially. She used a soft gray eyeliner, slightly winging it out at the outer corners. My lash extensions meant I didn't have to wear any mascara and could cry my heart out during the ceremony without fear of smudges. I brought my own Armani Luminous Silk foundation--it's amazing for anyone who normally fears foundation but wants to try some for her wedding day. Oh, and recognize my rented diamond earrings from Adorn Brides? I loved wearing them for a day!

For the ceremony, I wore a crown of gold millinery flowers by Feathers & Frills. For the reception, I switched to a feather blossom by Sara Gabriel; the bridesmaids wore little feathered rhinestone hairpins from the same brand.

So there you have it. Phew! I'm exhausted from going through the photos, and the project has only just begun (I have more than 1000 hi-res files to sort through!).
