Gloriosa 'Rothschildiana' is a climbing plant with bright red petals with yellow edges. Long yellow stamens give an exotic appearance to the flower. This plant grows from a tuber that you can plant in a pot on the balcony or in the open ground. Planting time around mid-April. Gloriosa likes a warm spot in the morning sun where it prefers to be at a minimum temperature of 16°. Regularly cut out the spent flowers and give it fertilizer regularly. Keep the soil well moist. The Gloriosa tuber must overwinter indoors as soon as the leaves freeze. The tuber must then dry completely and should not be watered during the winter. Minimum temperature must be 13°C.
