When it comes to pulling off trendy Coachella style while braving hot desert temperatures, we thought we had seen it all—flower crowns, sheer tops, underwear as outerwear. But we were thinking too small—because we were thinking about wearing actual clothes. Enter “disco tits,” a combination of glitter, gems, skin-safe glue (we hope!), and paint cascaded across, underneath, and basically in every crevice of the boob area, in lieu of your favorite band tee.

There's definitely a part of us that wonders how well body paint and glitter hold up to a day in the sun at a California music festival. But then again, with unicorn everything being in right now, and Coachella being the place for outrageous fashion choices, maybe sparkly ta-tas are just a natural evolution of style. And Instagram is loving it. We've seen variations of design and intensity, with some sporting just a few coats of body paint and a dash of glitter, while others are rocking gems and mirrors and covering most of their torsos.

If you want to rock your own pair of disco tits (aka glitter boobs), we strongly recommend you seek out a skin-safe, cosmetic glitter glue. When we sent a writer on her own foray into glitter makeup trends (all above the cleavage, mind you), she also swore by NYX Glitter Primer ($6, nyxcosmetics.com) to keep her handiwork in place. (Necessary disclaimers ahead: If you are planning to debut your dazzling décolletage outdoors, may we kindly remind you that glitter and body paint do not replace SPF-30 sunscreen? And, please be careful to keep the glitter out of your eyes.)

To wash off your glitter look, InStyle suggests using coconut oil, rubbing in small, circular motions. Follow this step with a makeup remover wipe or water-soaked cotton pad to get the remaining oil and glitter.
