We had a Con last weekend and my daughter wanted in on our existing King Arthur/Patsy cosplay my wife and I were doing. This was a combination of props and costuming -Anna made the tunic and gloves, we jointly made the helmet, and I made the sword (thanks asavage for the great 1-day videos for both sword and helmet).
Below are a few progress and final pics and some pics of us at the con.
Thanks for looking.
Helmet made from poster board and pink-sheet insulation for the top.
Googly eyes! (for the rivets)
Sealed with black Plasti-dip
Hammered metal spray paint...
Final weathering (brown, black and red washes with silver dry brush)
Sword made from plywood, blade covered in metal tape, grip wrapped in pleather, and guard made from scrap styrene
In the parking lot getting ready to hit the Con
Proud Dad and Daughter
Winners! On the left is Daughter's best friend (who came out with us) and Daughter.
