Cheeky punters troll cops over e-fit of Dundee flasher with enormous jaw who looks just like Desperate Dan

Police have released the image in the hope of catching the pervert after he exposed himself to his victim but social media users bombarded Tayside division with comments about how the image had a startling resemblance to the Dandy character

COPS have released an e-fit image of a suspected flasher - who has been likened to cartoon character Desperate Dan.

Police Scotland issued an appeal featuring an image of a man they would like to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation.

Their appeal follows an indecency offence on Park Avenue, Dundee, at about 1pm on December 16 last year.

The man is described as white, in his mid 30s, 5ft 9in, of average build with dark thick curly hair and he was wearing a dark jersey top and dark trousers.

Police have urged anyone who recognises the image or has any information regarding the incident to contact them.

But members of the public have pointed out the individual has a resemblance to cartoon character Desperate Dan.

Below the online appeal, one Facebook user wrote: "Desperate Dan?"

Another added: "Awful cartoony picture!"

Another said: "Looks like desperate Dan without his hat."

And another wrote: "Does he like cow pie?"

In a statement, police said: "Police Scotland is releasing an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation.

"About 1pm on Saturday 16 December 2017 an indecency offence took place on Park Avenue, Dundee.

"Officers have issued an image of a man they believe may be able to assist them in their enquiries and are appealing for any information.

"Anyone who recognises the image or has any information regarding the incident is asked to contact officers via 101 and quote CR/032638/17.

"Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be given anonymously."
