“The Crown” is close to locking in its Iron Lady.

Gillian Anderson is in negotiations to portray former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher on the fourth season of the Netflix series “The Crown,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The third season will focus on the 1964-1970 and 1974-1976 terms of Prime Minister Howard Wilson.

It still has yet to be announced when season three will be released but it’s expected to start streaming in 2019. The third season will experience some cast shake ups as Olivia Colman, who is currently raking in awards for her role as Queen Anne in “The Favourite,” takes over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy. Tobias Menzies will replace Matt Smith as Prince Philip and Vanessa Kirby will be switched out for Helena Bonham Carter’s Princess Margaret.

The third and fourth season are expected to be filmed back to back. The fourth season will focus on Thatcher and Princess Diana. No word yet on if Thatcher will appear in both the third and fourth season.

Thatcher’s LGBT record was controversial at the time as the Conservative Party, led by Thatcher, introduced a clause in the Local Government Act 1988, known as Section 28, which banned the “promotion” of homosexuality in U.K. schools and by local authorities.
