RM2F36FKP–ELECTRIC MOTOR CAB about 1897 outside Brompton Oratory, London. Designed by Walter Charles Bersey it was one of about 75 operated by the London Electrical Cab Company. Nicknamed The Hummingbirds because of the noise they made the range was about 30-35 miles. The colour was black and yellow.

The Baker was car 39 from the start and set a good time for the first part of the course, but then lost control and slid sideways into the crowd. A number of spectators were injured and two killed.
